Previewing LSU & McNeese

LSU is 3-1 after beating Texas A&M 35-6 last week. But the Tigers lost linebacker Whit Weeks to a broken leg. His season is now in question. LSU also lost backup linebacker Charles Ross II to a season-ending knee injury.

The Tigers have dealt with more injuries in recent weeks. Safety Dashawn Spears is out for the season, while tight end Trey’Dez Green is dealing with a knee injury. Quarterback Sam Leavitt also suffered a hamstring injury against Texas A&M, and his status for Saturday is still unclear. Even with the injuries, LSU has one of the best defenses in the country. The Tigers are allowing just 226.8 yards per game and have recorded 18 sacks this season.

For McNeese, this game is a big challenge but also a big opportunity. The Cowboys are 2-3 and will travel to Baton Rouge looking to compete against one of the top teams in the country.

McNeese head coach Matt Viator said his team needs to focus on itself and use the game as a chance to get better. The Cowboys and Tigers have met twice before, with LSU winning both games. The most recent meeting came in 2021.

Here's How To Get Last-Minute LSU/McNeese Tickets

Last week, McNeese announced that their ticket allotment to the game is sold out, and now LSU has announced the game is Sold Out. However, a college announcing a game is “sold out” usually means the school has sold all of the tickets in its own allotment. It does not always mean every ticket for the game is gone, since additional tickets may still be available through resale sites and other ticket outlets.

If you want to head to watch LSU and McNeese inside Tiger Stadium, tickets might be sold out through the school's website, but there are plenty of tickets available through sites like StubHub, SeatGeek, Game Time, and others. Some of the tickets are fairly well-priced if you want to check out the game.
