The LSU Tigers baseball team got off to a rocky start last week losing two of the four games they played.

They lost to McNeese 2-0 last Tuesday and then started a three game series with the then ranked #2 team in the country Mississippi State.

They lost 6-5 on Thursday but rebounded to win the next two games in the weekend series in dominating fashion winning 10-5 Friday and 11-2 Saturday.

The voters must have been impressed with LSU dominating Mississippi State for those games and the Tigers have moved up in the national polls.

LSU moved from from #17 to #13 in the D! Baseball poll while also moving up from #17 to #15 in the Baseball America Top 25 poll.  The stayed put at #16 in the Perfect Game top 25.

Next up for LSU is a five game week.  They will take on Grambling Tuesday night, South Alabama Wednesday night and then a three game series against #14 Texas A&M starting Friday.  All five games will be played at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.
