Man Calls Sheriff’s Office To Test Possible Bad Meth He Bought
When you're out on the streets buying drugs, it might be a good thing to have it tested. Douglas Kelly of Putnam County, Florida decided to use his resources to do just that.
According to the Putnam Sheriff's Office, Kelly called the Sheriff's office complaining that he had ended up with a really bad reaction to some meth he purchased in the area earlier in the week. Kelly smoked the meth he purchased, but he felt after using the drug that perhaps it was laced with something or possibly could not be meth at all.
Kelly ended up getting his complaint to the Drug Unit at the Sheriff's office and said that if it was not what he thought he purchased, he wanted to press charges against the dealer who sold it to him. The Sheriff's office agreed to test the substance Kelly purchased at the sheriff's office. Kelly showed up to the office carrying a crystal-looking substance wrapped in foil and handed it over to the detectives to test.
After field-testing the substance, it was confirmed that the product Kelly had purchased was methamphetamine. Kelly was arrested and held on a $5,000 bond. The Putnam County Sheriff's office encourages anyone to bring in any drug they believe they were misled on into the office so they can test it for you.
