Louisiana small towns like Elton, Mamou, Iowa, and Eunice, to name a few, will hold chicken runs and live conerts in the streets and dancehalls. Here in Southwest Louisiana, the biggest Mardi Gras celebration will take place in the heart of Lake Charles.

There are several parades scheduled for today and will run all day long, culminating with the grand finale, the Krewe of Krewe's parade tonight. So before you head out, let's find you the best viewing spots, give you the parade routes, and fill you in on the road closures.

So what parades are happening today, and where will they start and finish? Here's what you need to know.

  • Tuesday, Feb. 17th -- Second Line Stroll down Ryan Street to Sallier Street starting at 1:00 pm.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 17th -- Jeeps On Parade down Ryan Street to Sallier Street starting at 2:00 pm.
  • Tuesday, Feb. 17th -- Motor Gras Parade down Ryan Street 3:00 pm
  • Tuesday, Feb. 17th -- Krewe of Krewe's Parade starting at the Lake Charles Event Center at 5:00 pm

The 2026 Krewe of Krewes Parade in Lake Charles starts at the Lake Charles Event Center, moves north on Lakeshore Drive, turns east onto Pine Street, and heads south down Ryan Street to finish at Sale Road.
