Mardi Gras Season Begins This Sunday Jan. 6 With Twelfth Night

So the Christmas and New Year holidays are now over but in Southwest Louisiana the party is just getting started! That's right folks it's time for the 2019 edition of Mardi Gras!

The Mardi Gras season begins this Sunday with the Twelfth Night celebration.

This is where the royal courts of more than 60 Krewes from SWLA show off their extraordinary and beautiful costumes.

The event is taking place this Sunday night at 7pm inside the Lake Charles Civic Center coliseum.

Mardi Gras this year is a little later than usual. Fat Tuesday will take place on Tuesday, March 5th, 2019. Let the festivities begin sha!
