
Mark Chesnutt Added to Battle For The Buckle 2026 in DeRidder
DeRidder, Louisiana - A few weeks ago, we told you about the news of Frank Foster headlining the "Battle for the Buckle" event in DeRidder later on this year, but now the event is getting even better... We just received news that they've added country music legend Mark Chesnutt to the lineup, and we've got everything you need to know...

The Battle For The Buckle is a youth rodeo that will feature competitors from across the region competing for gold belt buckles, payouts, and more than $15,000 in added prize money. Young cowboys and cowgirls will compete in a variety of rodeo events, including mutton bustin', barrel racing, team roping, steer wrestling, goat tying, breakaway roping, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, pole bending, and bull riding.
Competition will be divided into three age groups: 8-and-under, 13-and-under, and 19-and-under.

Mark Chesnutt Added To Lineup For Battle For The Buckle Event in DeRidder
A few weeks ago, we told you about the news that Frank Foster would be headlining the event, but now it's gotten even better. The folks over at the Battle For The Buckle Youth Rodeo have announced that country music legend Mark Chesnutt has been added to the entertainment lineup for the two-day event.
Chesnutt, the Beaumont native, was MASSIVE in the 90's with eight No. 1 country hits during his career, including favorites like "Brother Jukebox," "I'll Think of Something," "Bubba Shot the Jukebox," and "It's a Little Too Late."
- Friday, October 23rd - Mark Chesnutt
- Saturday, October 24th - Frank Foster
Tickets for the event officially go on sale June 1 and will be available through Eventbrite.
