McNeese Announces The 2023 Cowboy Block Party Entertainment Lineup
It's almost football season y'all and that means the return of the popular concert series known as the Cowboy Block Party that take place in Lake Charles on the campus of McNeese State University.
The McNeese Athletic Foundation and Lake Charles Toyota proudly present this year's Cowboy Block Party. There will be five installments of the concert series. Why only five?
That is because the Cowboy Block Party takes place on the Friday nights before every Saturday home football game for the McNeese Cowboys football team and there are only five home games on this year's football schedule.
The block parties are located on the corner of Common and McNeese streets in South Lake Charles by the Robert Noland outdoor pavilion. The Cowboy Block Parties are FREE and open to all ages. You can enjoy free parking and free entry.
There will be food trucks on site and great live music. Another cool thing is you are allowed to bring in your own ice chest with whatever you would like to drink meaning alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. You will also want to bring a lawn chair and a smile. They also encourage you to wear your McNeese gear to the party.
The first Cowboy Block Party will take place on Friday, September 1st, 2023 and we would like to thank Deep South Productions in Sulphur, Louisiana for providing the stage and sound for each Friday's event.
The music will start from 7:15 pm to 9:00 pm each night of the party. New this year, after the band finishes each Friday night, McNeese student DJ Sparrow will play the after-party at the block party for the fans and students.
