McNeese Baseball Begin Practice Friday — New Game Times Announced

The 2020 McNeese baseball season is coming your way beginning on Friday, February 14th, 2020.

The team will hit the field on Friday to start practice to lead up to the new season.  Some of the marquee games to be played this season in Lake Charles will be against Louisiana Tech, Southern Miss, ULM, and Alcorn.

The pokes will hit the road and take on big names like the Texas Longhorns, LSU Tigers, and the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana Lafayette.

It was also announced that game times on the weekends will be different.   According to Ryan Landry with McNeese,

In recent years, the Cowboys played three-game home series' at 6 p.m. on Friday, 3 p.m. on Saturday, and 1 p.m. on Sunday, but this season the Cowboys will switch it up a bit.

The Friday and Sunday games will both still be at 6 p.m. and 1 p.m., but the Saturday games will now be moved back to 6 p.m. as to try and utilize the Cowboys night-game atmosphere in Joe Miller Ballpark to its advantage.
