McNeese Baseball fans are breaking out the brooms after the Pokes opened the season with a home sweep of Arkansas Pine Bluff. It is the second season in a row that the Cowboys opened the season with a sweep.

The Cowboys bats insured the victory with a14 hit barrage lead by junior catcher Cameron Toole who went 3-3 with two RBIs. He went 6-7 in the weekend sweep. McNeese pitching also had a great day on Sunday allowing just one earned run as the Pokes completed the weep with a 7-1 victory. The Cowboys hurlers only allowed three hits all day!

The Pokes next game is Tuesday at 1 p.m.. They are at home against Louisiana Tech whom started their season being swept in three games at Southeastern.
