McNeese Announces The 2025 Cowboy Block Party Entertainment Lineup

Football season will be here before you know it, and that means the return of the legendary Cowboy Block Party concert series presented by Lake Charles Toyota and the McNeese Athletics Foundation. Yes, it is back for another year, and this season, there will be six big concerts.

Don't know what the Cowboy Block Party is? Well, it's a huge concert that takes place every Friday night before every home game during the football season. The Pokes football team has six home games this year, so that means you will have six opportunities to see some great entertainment and get ready for the game he next day.

The McNeese Cowboys football team has a new coach this year, but if you have been a fan of the Cowboys for years, then you know the new head coach, Matt Viator, who took the Cowboys to the highest levels during his first tenure at McNeese.

The Pokes football team gets the 2025 football season under on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with their first home game facing off against Louisiana Christian. On Friday night, August 29th, before the game on Saturday, the first installment of the Cowboy Block Party will get underway.

All the block parties take place at The Grove except for the first one on August 29, 2025, which will be inside the Legacy Center. The Grove is located on the corner of Common and McNeese Streets in Lake Charles.

The gate opens at 6:00 pm every Friday, with each band starting at 7:30 pm. It is open to the public and all ages, free to enter, and you can bring your lawn chairs and ice chests with your favorite beverages.
