McNeese Announces 2026 Cowboy Block Party Lineup

Lake Charles, Louisiana - Football season is right around the corner, and so is another year of the McNeese Block Parties. On Friday, the McNeese Athletic Foundation announced the 2026 Entertainment lineup for the upcoming football season.

The Cowboy Block Party, presented by Lake Charles Toyota and the McNeese Athletic Foundation, is returning for another year with a lineup of concerts, food, and fun before McNeese football home games.

If you have never been to a Cowboy Block Party, it is the perfect way to kick off a football weekend. The event happens every Friday night before a McNeese home football game and brings fans together for a free concert and celebration.

Once again this year, the Cowboy Block Party series will feature six big concerts, giving fans plenty of chances to enjoy live music before cheering on the Cowboys.

This year, the Cowboys will open the 2026 football season at home on Saturday, August 29th against Stephen F Austin in Week Zero. The first Cowboy Block Party will take place the night before the game on Friday, August 28th.

Most of the Block Parties will happen at The Grove, located near the corner of Common Street and McNeese Street in Lake Charles. The first event of the season will be held inside the Townsley Law Arena. The party starts early each Friday night, with gates opening at 6:00 p.m. and music beginning at 7:30 p.m. The event is free to attend and open to all ages.

Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and ice chests with their favorite drinks while enjoying live entertainment with fellow Cowboys fans.
