The McNeese Cowboys football team is on a roll.  After losing the season opener to Nicholls, the Pokes have posted four straight wins.

Their latest win was a blowout of Stephen F Austin on the road last Saturday, beating them 35-0.  The win improved the Cowboys to 4-1 on the season, and 2-1 in the Southland Conference.

Last week, the Pokes broke into the FCS top 25 coaches poll and were ranked #25.  This week, the Cowboys have moved up three spots, and are now ranked #22 in the country.

Next up for McNeese: another road game against Abilene Christian in Abilene, Texas.  The game will kickoff at 7:00pm.

The Pokes will then have a bye week on October 14th before coming back to play on October 21st, where they will celebrate Homecoming against Incarnate Word.
