Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - We are only a few weeks away from the big football game between the McNeese Cowboys and the LSU Tigers slated for October 3rd in Baton Rouge.

This will be the third time that the Cowboys have faced the Tigers. They first played in 2010 in Tiger Stadium, and LSU beat McNeese 32-10. The second time the teams faced off was in 2021 when LSU topped the Cowboys 34-7.

This game hits close to home for Cowboy football fans, as the former president and athletic director at McNeese State University is now at LSU. Dr. Wade Rouse left McNeese last year to become the new president at Louisiana State University.

Also, a few months ago, Heath Schroyer left McNeese to take a job in the athletic department at LSU. Those are two key positions that the university had to fill.

I personally am happy for both Heath and Dr. Rouse. They are two of the nicest guys, and it was a pleasure to work with them over the years. I wish them nothing but success.

That said, let's get to football. The Pokes will take on the Tiers on Saturday, October 3rd, in Death Valley. I have been seeing people all over social media asking about tickets, so I thought I would help by sharing where you can buy some.

On the actual LSU Sports website, there are tickets available here and there, and they’re pretty reasonably priced. I’ve seen some as low as $20 each, with lower-bowl tickets ranging from around $80 to $100 per seat.

I know a ton of people who are going to the game, so chances are if you do go, you will run into a bunch of folks you know.
