McNeese Men’s & Women’s Tournament Games: TV Schedule Today

Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Today is the day Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana sports fans have been waiting for. Both the McNeese Men's and Women's basketball teams will play in two big tournaments.

The Men make their third consecutive trip to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, known as March Madness or The Big Dance. This is a huge accomplishment to make it to the tournament, especially for a smaller school like McNeese, because to get into the big dance, you have to win your conference tournament.

The Men's team has done that now for three straight years. Last year, McNeese stunned the college basketball world by winning their first round game and will be looking to do that again this afternoon when they face #5-seeded Vanderbilt in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The McNeese Men's team against Vanderbilt will be at 2:15 pm today, March 19, 2026, and will be televised on TruTV.

The McNeese Women's team will also be in action today, with their game being tonight. The Lady Cowgirls came one game short of making it into the NCAA tournament. They lost the Southland Conference Championship game to Stephen F Austin 71-59.

The loss sent them in a different direction, and the Cowgirls will now play in the first round of the WBIT tournament tonight against #1-seeded Texas A&M in College Station.

The Cowgirls game will tip off at 7:00 pm and be televised on ESPN+.
