When many people think about Lake Charles, often the Louisiana favorites come to mind like Gumbo, Etouffee, Crawfish, and Crab legs, but for me, I am good with a nice slice or 2 of Pizza and I am set for the evening. This led me to think about my 10 favorite spots in Lake Charles when it comes to Pizza. There is something about these restaurants that keep me coming back for more. Here are my ten spots in no particular order because simply put I can't rank them as a favorite as I like them all.

Lit Pizza:

4740 Nelson Road

My wife and I have a thing and that is when we vacation, we don't eat at any restaurant that we have here at home. The first time I had Lit Pizza was in Baton Rouge. I was hooked from the first bite. When I heard they were coming to Lake Charles, I was already a fan.

Tony's Pizza:

335 East Prien Lake Road

There is nothing like Tony's Pizza. My wife and I can usually get a pizza and finish it right there. My wife and I are also fans of the Stuffed Shrimp Jammers that are the truth, Trust me you will love them.

Mellow Mushroom

3420 Ryan Street

Mighty Meaty is one of my favorites when I go here. I guess you can say that I am a carnivore as I want all the meats from Ground Beef to Pepperoni.

Rotolo's:

4201 Nelson Road

The first time I had Rotolo's was at a Mcneese home game, and they were at the tailgate with their booth. They were relatively new to the area, but again I love Pizza so I was willing to give it a try. I know it wasn't right, but I came through their booth several times for seconds, thirds and fourths. They have a great atmosphere, and the food is top-notch.

Pizza Artista:

This is probably the best-located restaurant as they are adjacent to the Prien Lake Mall. Go out and get your shopping needs taken care of and enjoy a great meal of one or with the family.

Hunt Brother's Pizza

2211 Ryan Street

Yessir, you read right! Please don't assume otherwise. This is truly a good pizza. You may not think so as most are found in gas stations, but I have not had a disappointing pizza from Hunt Brothers.

Mr. Gatti's:

3522 Ryan Street

When it comes to locally own I love the family atmosphere and environment that you get from Mr. Gatti's. When they had their reopening after the Hurricane, the place was nice as well as the staff. This is also a place where the kids can be a kid. Their salad bar and buffet choices for second to none.

CiCi's Pizza:

3533 Ryan Street

Clean and Great service and the choices at the buffet are great. I have never walked through the doors and not been greeted with a smile. Similar to Mr. Gatti's if you don't see what you want on the buffet, they'll make it for you. Let the kids go out and play with a variety of games, hold your business meetings there, or have a little alone time with that special one.

121 Bistro:

121 Dr. Michael Debakey Dr.

This a great establishment for lunch or first dates and the from the greeters to the wait staff is friendly. While there is an array of foods like steaks and other choices. You already know I go for the pizza, I often get the Gluten-Free crust from here because honestly, I can't tell the difference. Get a little taste of homegrown love right here at 121 Artisan Bistro

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
