Need a Vacation? What’s New in Gatlinburg, Tennessee This Year
One of my family's favorite places to vacation are the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. The towns of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville have neat attractions.
We like to visit during the fall for the Thanksgiving holiday. The weather is cold and the sights go along perfectly to set the holiday mood.
Each year, Gatlinburg has a slew of new and exciting places to visit. Here are a few of the upcoming attractions slated for 2020.
Smoky Mountain Double Decker Bus Tours – Visitors will have a chance to see the iconic sights from the view of a giant double-decker bus. The bus features ten stops in Pigeon Forge and four in Gatlinburg.
Flower Food Festival at Dollywood – Dollywood has always been a staple for Smoky Mountain tourists. Beginning in May and running through June, visitors can enjoy nearly half a million flowers and plants in the park. Several interactive displays are available, and you will see tributes to I Will Always Love You and Coat of Many Colors. Plus, there are plenty of delicious foods to try, like caprese skewers, spring beef, and rose lemon spritzers.
360 Tower at Anakeesta – The new observation tower stands 55 feet above the Vista Gardens and 655 feet above downtown Gatlinburg. During clear weather conditions, you can see as far as Kentucky.
Buzzed Bull Creamery – This new ice cream shop is perfect for adults. It features liquid nitrogen ice cream with boozy flavors. You can watch it being made, as the liquid transforms into a frozen state within seconds.
