It's been happening all season long, The McNeese Block Party Concert Series and it's back this Friday night, November 5th.

So far this season, the concert series has featured The Flamethrowers, Gyth Rigdon, Charlie Wayne, and Wayne Toups.  This Friday, country artists Parish County Line from the Baton Rouge area will perform live for fans.

The concert is located on the corner of McNeese and Common Streets in Lake Charles and it's FREE to attend and open to all ages.

Due to the fact that the lights are not working in the football stadium, the team plays at Noon during every home game. For that reason, the free concerts are put on the night before.

The gates open up at 7:00 pm and you are encouraged to bring your lawn chair and your ice chest while you enjoy the sounds of Parish County Line. There will be a bunch of food trucks available at the event Friday night so bring your appetite.

The McNeese Cowboys will take on Nicholls at Cowboys Stadium this Saturday, November 6th in Lake Charles. The pokes are currently 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in Southland Conference play. We definitely need to pack the stadium Saturday to show our support for the pokes.

After this weekend, there is only one more home game for the Cowboys this season.  It will be on Saturday, November 20th against Northwestern. The night before that game, the final McNeese Block party will take place featuring the high-energy variety band The Chee Weez on Friday, November 19th.
