Recently it was announced that the old Stine location on Country Club Road is now going to be a brand new facility for Lake Area Adventures. The complex, and yes at this size it will certainly be a complex, will feature 35,000 square feet of entertainment for kids, adults, and families. They broke ground on the facility yesterday among media, friends, and family.

According to Quinn Lavine and also Visit Lake Charles, the center will feature a ton of options for entertainment including a video game lounge with not only game consoles but computer-based games and even virtual reality as well. There will be an inflatable jump park that will spread out over 10,000 square feet inside of the complex and a rock climbing wall. It will have a large event space, a stage for live entertainment, and a restaurant. One of my personal things I cannot wait to see will be the 1800-square-foot temperature-controlled pool that they say is competition length! I won't swim that whole length, but it'll be nice to have the room to swim around.

Lake Area Adventures isn't stopping at just this complex, they will also be heading to the lakefront as that development begins. They will be alongside Paul's Ribshack and Crying Eagle as they will be offering water tours, fishing, kayak rentals, and boat rentals. It seems that Lake Area Adventures is really about to make its mark on the city and the downtown area and personally, it's exciting to see what it will all look like. The entertainment complex is set to open sometime in January of 2023 and the lakefront location is due to open in the Spring of 2024.
