Poker Run & Car Show Supports American Cancer Society in SWLA

KNGT | Louisiana — I know we've been talking a lot lately about the Southwest Louisiana Cattle Barons Ball. As many of your know it holds a special place in my heart. That's because every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer.

Alot of folks may not realize that the Cattle Barons Ball isn't the only fundraiser happening. Every Baron and Baroness also raise money with different fundraising events.

One of our good friends, Eric Price, is doing just that.

On Saturday, July 18, Eric is putting together a Poker Run and Car Show at VFW Post 4759 in Starks, and he's hoping to pack the place with motorcycles, classic cars, trucks, families, and anybody who wants to help make a difference.

Cancer has touched just about every family around Southwest Louisiana. I don't know many people who haven't had someone they love hear those words nobody ever wants to hear. So, if you've got a motorcycle, gas it up. If you've got a hotrod sitting in the garage, shine it up. But if you dont have either one, just come out and grab some lunch and drop a few dollars in the bowl for a donation.
