Pokes Look For Playoff Spot If They Win Over Lamar

The McNeese Cowboys are looking to get their 17th Playoff berth, but they will first have to take care of business this Saturday as they take on Lamar in Beaumont.

The Pokes are coming off a 44-24 dominating win over Northwestern State last Saturday. The win improved the Cowboys football team to 8-2 on the season, and 6-2 in Southland Conference play.

McNeese also moved up in the national rankings. The Cowboys are now ranked #19 in both the FCS Stats Media Poll and the FCS Coaches Top 25. They actually dropped one spot to #19 in the FCS Coaches Top 25.

The McNeese and Lamar rival game will take place in Beaumont, Texas this Saturday, November 18th with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m.

McNeese will need a win to impress the playoff committee. If so, the Pokes could receive their 17th postseason playoff berth.
