Police Academy Graduates 40 Officers

These graduation ceremonies did not feature the traditional cap and gowns ... instead graduates were wearing badges and guns. It was graduation day at the Calcasieu Parish Regional Law Enforcement Training Academy.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office had 14 graduates of the 40. Several (14) local law enforcement agencies were represented by the graduates. According to KPLC-TV The training academy was established in 1974 to train  officers to serve in Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, Cameron and Jeff Davis Parishes. It was the 109th class to graduate from the academy. A list of graduates is here.
