Popular Wine Store In Lake Charles, Louisiana Closes Its Doors
As we enter into a New Year, one of our local businesses has decided to shut its doors. They announced on social media on December 16th that New Year's Eve would be their last day open.
The popular wine store has been open in Southwest Louisiana for over 10 years now but the owners have decided to close the doors for good. The store had its final event on New Year's Eve when they had Doc Wilder and his band play live for its New Year's Eve party.
The Store we are talking about is called The Wine Store which is located at 4402 Nelson Road in Lake Charles. It was right behind a donut shop in South Lake Charles.
In a statement on the store's Facebook page, the owners said,
With a heavy heart, we announce the closing of The Wine Store after December 31st.
They went on to say in their announcement on Facebook,
The store featured all types of wine and spirits and also had a bar inside of the store. The Wine Store would host tastings and have live music from local country, blues, and other genres of music artists from Southwest Louisiana.
For almost 10 years, they served Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana with hard-to-find wines, spirits, beer, and other rare items. We hate to hear that another locally owned business has closed its doors.
We would like to wish the owners good luck and thank them for their 10 years in Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana.
