See Reba McEntire’s Seven ACM Gowns (and Her Not-So-Fancy Post-Event Footwear) [PICTURES]
The 2018 ACM Awards mark the 18th year that Reba McEntire has hosted the ceremony, and so she's no stranger to getting glammed up for the event. This year, the country star's wardrobe included seven separate gowns as well as a slew of footwear, as well as fuzzy red slippers for her post-show red carpet walk. Readers can flip through the gallery above to see the entire collection of outfits that McEntire sported at the event.
One dress that the country star wore may be familiar to fans: McEntire brought back the custom-made red gown she'd initially worn in 1993 at the CMA Awards for a performance of her hit, "Does He Love You." That dress sparked controversy back in the '90s for its low-cut neckline, but in 2018, the matching red slippers that she paired it with after the show created more of a stir.
That dress was designed by Sandi Spika, who had no idea the country superstar had plans to bring the outfit back onstage. According to People, the majority of the rest of the host's outfits were designed by Johnathan Kayne. According to her wardrobe team, McEntire's ACMs look required nine outfit changes over the course of the evening, adding up to a total of one change about every half hour.
In addition to her hosting duties, McEntire performed "Does He Love You" -- wearing the famous red dress, of course -- with Kelly Clarkson, and was also among the nominees for Female Vocalist of the Year, a title that ultimately went to Miranda Lambert.
