As previously mentioned, President Biden is traveling across the country to explain the ins and outs of his American Infrastructure and Jobs Plan. The 46th President of the United States wanted SWLA and those around the nation to understand exactly what his plan is about and how it will benefit Americans financially, the country's roadways, bridges, and more.

The President came to Lake Charles, home of one of the most dangerous bridges in the country, the I-10 bridge. The President was joined by Governor John Bel Edwards and Mayor Nic Hunter in yesterday's address.

More than 100 historically Black colleges and universities are designated by the U.S. Department of Education, meeting the definition of a school "established prior to 1964, whose principal mission was, and is, the education of black Americans."
