Registration Now Open for 2026 McNeese Homecoming Parade
Lake Charles, LA [KNGT-FM] - Registration is now open for the 2026 McNeese Homecoming Parade in Lake Charles.
Football season is in full swing, but McNeese State University fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the Cowboys back home. After several road games, the Pokes return to Lake Charles at the end of October, just in time for Homecoming Week.
McNeese Homecoming will take place Sunday, October 25, through Saturday, October 31, culminating in the Cowboys’ Homecoming football game against Nicholls at Navarre football stadium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
One of the week's biggest traditions is the annual McNeese Homecoming Parade. This year’s parade is set for Thursday, October 29, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Lake Charles.

The 2026 Homecoming theme is “Gleaux Pokes,” bringing a festive twist to one of McNeese’s most anticipated traditions.
Whether you’re a student organization, alumni group, business, community organization, or simply a McNeese fan, the parade is a chance to join the Homecoming celebration and show your Cowboy spirit.
Registration is now open for those who want to participate. Here’s what you need to know about signing up and being part of the 2026 “Gleaux Pokes” Homecoming Parade.
It is important to know that parade applications close on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 11:59 pm., and a meeting for parade entries will be held on Thursday, October 22, at 5:30 pm.
