Chris Miller is known by most as a legendary Cajun music musician but some of you might not know that Chris Miller has also been an educator for 33 years now. That's right, Chris Miller has been a teacher for 33 years and has been working here in Calcasieu Parish.

He is the choir teacher at Barbe High School in Lake Charles and has taught and mentored thousands of students throughout his career. One of the things Barbe is known for is their show choir and Mr. Miller has been a big part of that through the years.

Now most of you know him as part of Chris Miller & Bayou Roots, the legendary Cajun music band. He has been honored by the Cajun French Music Association with the Accordionist of the Year, Band of the Year, Recording of the Year, and People's Choice awards.
