Richard Sterban From The Oak Ridge Boys Joins Gator Morning Show This Thursday
Country Music legendary band and Hall of Famers, The Oak Ridge Boys, will be live in concert here in Lake Charles this Saturday, May 6th. The legendary Oak Ridge Boys will be in Lake Charles at L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles. The show is set for 8:00 pm inside the L'Auberge Event Center.
One of the legendary group members, Richard Sterban, will join Mike & Chad in the morning this Thursday morning to talk about the show. The boys will also talk to Richard about the history of the band, and what they have been doing lately and get Richard to tell us some exciting things that have happened with the band since he joined them over 50 years ago.
We will also talk to Richard about how they came about to record some of their iconic songs like Elvira. Bobby Sue, Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight, Y'all Come Back Saloon, Trying To Love Two Women, Fancy-Free, I Wish You Could Have Turned My Head (And Left My Heart Alone), American-Made, Every Day, and more.
During the Oak Ridge Boys' career, they have won the ACM Top Vocal Group and Single of the Year for Elvira. They have won the CMA awards Instrumental Group of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Single of the Year "Elvira, and the Instrumental Group of the Year. The Oak Ridge Boys have also won several Grammy Awards including Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
