We are two days removed from the big snowstorm in South Louisiana and we are still seeing conditions not improving in certain areas causing roads, interstates, and bridges to remain closed in South Louisiana.

Even though we had a full day of sunshine yesterday and it helped clear out the snow and ice in certain parts, some parts are still covered with ice making the roadways impassable.

We just got word from the Louisiana DOTD that some bridges, roads, and interstates will remain closed this morning until they can access the situation once the sun comes up.

Per the Louisiana State Police and DOTD, They are advising that the barricades on the I-210 bypass and bridge are currently being picked up and I-210 should be completely open in the next thirty minutes or so.

One of the areas still closed at this time is I-10 Eastbound at the Highway 165 exit which is the Kinder, Louisiana exit due to ice.
