Saints Receiver Michael Thomas Tweets He Will Not Return This Season
It's been a season riddled with injuries for the New Orleans Saints. They lost Taysom Hill a few weeks ago with a concussion and last week they lost their starting quarterback Jameis Winston to a knee injury.
Now to add insult to injury, Saints big money wide receiver Michael Thomas Tweeted yesterday on social media that he will not return this season.
Saints head caoch is you remember was pretty upset that Thomas decided to wait until the season was almost upon them when he deicided to finally have surgery on his ankle which had been injured. That decision made Thomas unavailable for the beginning of the year but now we find out he will be out for the entire season now.
With the Saints getting the news, they tried to trade for a wide reciever but was unable to get a deal done before the trade deadline ended on Tuesday.
Rumors were swirling that the Saints were trying to aquire Cleveland’s Odell Beckham Jr.. Beckham is a native of Louisiana as he is from New Orleans and wentr to Isidore Newman High School. He then played his college football career at LSU before being drafted by the New York Giants. He played there from 2014-2018 before landing in Cleveland.
