The April 29 Powerball drawing was one of the biggest in Louisiana Lottery history, creating 11 millionaires in a single night. Six players won $1 million, five won $2 million, and total winnings reached about $16 million statewide.

Lottery officials say one $1 million winning ticket remains unclaimed. The winner has until October 26 to claim the prize.

SWLA Gas Station Sells Winning Louisiana Lottery Ticket

It's always cool to see someone from Southwest Louisiana win on the Louisiana Lottery, and the Louisiana Lottery has announced that one winning ticket worth $2 million was sold at Singer Food Store in Singer, located south of DeRidder.

According to KPLC-TV, the winning ticket was purchased by George McLeod, who recently claimed his prize. After taxes were taken out, McLeod received about $1.46 million. The store that sold the winning ticket also received a bonus. According to the Louisiana Lottery, Singer Food Store earned a $20,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
