After being postponed, the second annual Smoke and Barrel in Lake Charles has decided it will need to cancel this year's event. The event is based around fine bourbon and amazing BBQ.

Participants are allowed to enter areas for free to purchase beverages and taste delicious food from around the state and around the nation, as food trucks come in from all over to participate. The proceeds from the event's ticket sales are collected and then donated to United Way of SWLA.

If you are the lucky few to purchase a VIP ticket, the event gets even better. You get VIP service with free food and the luxury of tasting all of the various bourbons they have to offer. You can even take home your very own shot glass you receive to taste it all in.

Due to the COVID-19 regulations in Louisiana, the event was forced to move its dates. Now it seems they will have to just try again next year. The next event is scheduled for February 27, 2021.

If you purchased your tickets for the 2020 event, they assure you that you can use it once the event comes around in 2021. If you wish for a refund, minus a convenience fee, you can do so by going to their website and filling out a refund form.
