The Cowboys are coming off one of the more forgettable seasons in McNeese History as the lone win of the season came via a forfeit win from Northwestern State. But, the future certainly looks much better with the addition of some very talented pieces via the transfer portal.

Goff enters the new season knowing that time is running out to discuss rebuilds. With one year left on his contract and an increasingly unhappy fanbase, this is a pivotal year for him and the Cowboys. That is why so much work was put into this offseason to improve the roster's talent and experience level. Along with the 20+ transfers coming to Lake Charles, Coach Goff has also added a bit to his staff as well.
