Southwest Louisiana Steps Up To Help Flood Victims – Here’s How You Can Help
From DeRidder to Lacassine and everywhere in between, the residents of Southwest Louisiana have stepped up to help out the flood victims.
With thousands of Louisiana families' homes, belongings, and loved ones taken from them due to the devastating affects of the flood, Southwest Louisiana has banned together to prove just what "Louisiana Strong" really means. But with more rain on the way and the death toll continuing to rise it's important that we still do our part to help out our friends and family in need.
It's so amazing to see how much love and support we have for each other, and during trying times it is truly incredible to see how the people in Louisiana come together to help. If you are still looking to help there are over a dozen SWLA locations are accepting donations for flood relief.
KPLC has compiled a list of the donation locations, like the Carey Association in Lake Charles or The United Ways of South Louisiana where you can donate by texting FLOOD2016 to 41444. Check out the full list of SWLA donation locations on KPLC's website.
