Spooky Delights: Burger King Unveils Addams Family Menu For Halloween

They're weird and eerie, but they're also a purple hamburger, right?

Fans of strange fast food that is sporadically influenced by blockbuster movies, get ready: Burger King has unveiled a limited-edition menu including Addams Family-inspired dishes. It doesn't matter whether those movies were released three years ago. It doesn't matter if Wednesday hasn't released a new episode in nearly a year. As Halloween approaches, people are drawn to eerie items. And what could be creepier than a purple Whopper?

That’s correct; Burger King will serve a “Wednesday’s Whopper” boasting a purple bread. This Halloween season, they will be selling four exclusive Addams Family goods, including...

• Wednesday's Whopper: Savor the famous flame-grilled Whopper topped with toasted Swiss cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, ketchup, mayonnaise, pickles, and onions on a purple bun colored purple by black sesame seeds on top of purple potatoes.
• Thing's Rings: Cling fast to Thing's Rings, the famous BK crispy onion rings presented in packaging inspired by the lovable but enigmatic one-handed sidekick Thing from The Addams Family!
• Gomez's Churro Fries: Serve up some delectably crispy, fried churros covered in cinnamon sugar and served with chocolate dipping sauce to stoke the fires of romance.
• Morticia's Kooky Chocolate Shake: This creamy soft serve shake with chocolate cake batter fudge and bits of black and purple cookie on top is so good, you don't need to be a psychic to enjoy it.

As you can see, there will also be a Burger King crown with an Addams Family theme. (Addams Family King Jr. Meals will also be available.)

This isn’t Burger King’s first effort with odd Whopper buns tied to movies; in 2023, they sold an Across the Spider-Verse Whopper with a crimson bread. (Unfortunately, eating it did not endow the eater with spider-like power.) Furthermore, this isn't the first Addams Family-themed menu. 2019's Halloween season coincided with IHOP's introduction of limited-edition Addams Family dishes and beverages in the fall. They had Wednesday Web-Cakes with brilliant purple whipped cream on top and Gomez Green Chile Omelet. Apparently when people think of The Addams Family, they think of the color purple. (And after that, they want to eat something purple?)
