Huge Sports Card & Pokémon Show Returns to Louisiana June 6
KNGT | Louisiana — I don't know about y'all, but there was a time when every kid in Southwest Louisiana had a shoebox full of baseball cards tucked away somewhere. Mine probably had a few bent corners, some doubles, and a whole lotta cards I swore were gonna make me rich one day.
Well, if you're still into collecting, or you've got kids that are hooked on Pokémon cards, there's a big event coming up next weekend that you'll probably wanna check out.. Now here's the cool part. This ain't just sports cards.
Where is the Underground Sports Card Show?
From what I have seen on Facebook, there will be a load of Vendors, Pokémon cards, sports memorabilia, comic books, trading card games, collectibles, and who knows what else. Half the fun is just shopping in my opinion.Maybe it's that card you had when you were a kid. Maybe it's that rookie card you've been chasing for years. Or maybe it's something sitting in a dollar box that ends up being worth way more than you thought.
There will also be food trucks on site, face painting for the kids, and vendors coming in from all over the region. And if you've got some cards you've been thinking about getting graded, Cajun Breaker Sports Cards & Collectibles will be accepting PSA submissions during the event.
Let's be honest, card collecting has gotten crazy over the last few years. What used to be a hobby for kids has turned into something folks of all ages are getting into. Some people collect for fun. Some collect for nostalgia. Some are looking for that big score.
The Underground Sports Cards and TCG Trade Show takes place Saturday, June 6th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the West Line Event Center, located at 204 Apollo Road in Scott.
