Strangest Things Thrown At Mardi Gras Parades In Lake Charles
The Mardi Gras season is here and tomorrow is Mardi Gras weekend with a bunch of parades. The Krewe of Krewe Parade takes place tomorrow starting at 5:00 pm and will leave the Lake Charles Event Center and head East down Mill Street then turn right on Ryan Street and head South down Ryan Street and end in South Lake Charles at Sale Road.
Thousands upon thousands of people from all over Southwest Louisiana descend on Lake Charles to attend the parades and they fill up Ryan Street and stake their claim for the best spots.
They do this in the hopes of catching a bounty of things but sometimes the things thrown at the Mardi Gras parades are a little strange. We have been in hundreds of Mardi Gras parades in Southwest Louisiana and we thought about some of the strange things we have seen thrown at the parades.
Here are some of the craziest things we have seen:
- Ramen Noodles
- Womens Undergarments
- Twinkies
- Ketchup Packets
- Used teddy bears
- Candy Cigarettes
- Plastic Silverware
- Empty Beer cans
- A whole sack of beads because they couldn't untangle them
- Moon Pies (Which is not that crazy)
- Bags of potato chips
- Weird kid's toys shaped like adult toys
- Tennis shoes (Somebody went home barefoot)
That is just a small list. What's the craziest thing you have ever seen thrown at a Mardi Gras parade? Please keep it PG in your comments LOL.
