New Bikini Coffee Shop Planned for Sulphur, Louisiana

KNGT | Sulphur, LA — I was scrolling around Facebook when I ran across something that made me stop dead in my tracks. Sulphur is apparently getting a bikini coffee shop. Yep. You read that right. A BIKINI COFFEE SHOP. And apparently it’s getting closer to becoming a reality right here on Ruth Street.

Now look. I’ve seen a lotta businesses come and go around Sulphur over the years. Restaurants. Snow cone stands. Daiquiri shops. Coffee shops. Boutiques. We’ve pretty much had a little bit of everything. But I don’t remember us ever having this.

HotTop Baristas recently posted on their Facebook page that they are getting closer to opening and will soon begin looking for what they’re calling their “HotTop girls.” And I ain’t gonna lie. This one caught my attention.

HotTop Baristas Is Coming To Sulphur

According to the business, the proposed location for HotTop Baristas will be at 3312 S. Ruth Street in Sulphur. If you’re from around here, you know Ruth Street. That’s one of the busiest stretches through town, so putting something like this there is probably gonna get some attention.

The whole idea behind a bikini coffee shop is pretty much what the name tells you. You pull up for coffee and the baristas are dressed in bikinis or other revealing outfits. These types of coffee stands have popped up in other parts of the country, but this would definitely be something different for Sulphur.

HotTop Baristas says they will soon start looking for employees. Their post says they’re looking for girls who love coffee, good vibes, talking to people and want to be part of something new here in Southwest Louisiana. More information about applications and hiring is supposed to be coming soon. There’s still a lot we don’t know yet, including exactly when HotTop Baristas plans to open.

But one thing is for sure. People are gonna be talking about this one. A bikini coffee shop in Sulphur, Louisiana. Never thought I’d be typing those words, but here we are. Now the BIG question...How long do y’all think that drive-thru line is gonna be on opening morning?
