Christmas Under the Oaks in Sulphur, LA to Feature John Foster and Wayne Toups

Lake Charles, La [KNGT-FM] - As we approach Thanksgiving, we are all preparing to welcome family and friends for a day of giving and being thankful for our lives. Once Thanksgiving is over, we all go into full holiday mode, starting with the day after the holiday, which is the biggest shopping day of the year.

We will all be getting into the holiday spirit, and one of the ways we do that in South Louisiana is to attend Christmas festivals and events. In Southwest Louisiana, we have a few of those holiday-type events going on, including one of the most popular that will take place the first weekend in December.

The annual Holiday House at Christmas Under the Oaks in Sulphur, Louisiana, is set for the first weekend of December, taking place December 4th through 6th in Sulphur, Louisiana. If you have never attended Christmas Under The Oaks, the event staff describe the three-day holiday event as,

A weekend packed with shopping, music, food, parades, and snow (yes, snow!)

Christmas Under The Oaks features a holiday house with over 30 local vendors, Cookies with Santa, choirs, the annual tree lighting, and live music all weekend long.

On Friday night, December 5th, get ready for Grammy Award Winner Wayne Toups and Zydecajun, who will perform from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Then on Saturday, December 6th, this year's American Idol finalist and Louisiana boy, John Foster, will perform live. He will take the stage Saturday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
