Switchfoot, Lit & Fuel Bringing Huge Pool Party to Lake Charles

KNGT | Lake Charles, LA —  If you grew up cranking up rock music in the late 90s and early 2000s, Sunday, September 6 might be the day you grab the sunscreen and head to L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles. Switchfoot, Lit and Fuel are all playing LIVE by the pool, and this Sunday Funday is gonna start early.

This ain't just one band coming to town. We're getting Switchfoot, Lit AND Fuel on the same Sunday.

Switchfoot gave us songs like "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move." Their album The Beautiful Letdown went double platinum, and the band even won a Grammy for Hello Hurricane.

Then you've got Lit. Come on now. You hear the opening of "My Own Worst Enemy" and there's a pretty sure you go back the that carefree time in your life.

Then there's Fuel, the band behind "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)." That song spent more than three months at No. 1 on Billboard's rock charts. That's a LOT of early 2000s rock packed into one afternoon.

Switchfoot in Lake Charles Schedule

There's actually another band joining the party too. According to L'Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles, the schedule looks like this:

1:00 p.m. - Thomas Nicholas Band

1:50 p.m. - Fuel

3:05 p.m. - Lit

4:20 p.m. - Switchfoot

Yep. Thomas Nicholas. you might ask, why does that name sound familiar? Well, He played Kevin Myers in all the American Pie movies. And I'm here for it. This One Is Happening By The Pool, maybe the coolest part is where they're doing it.

The show is happening outside at The Pool at L'Auberge Casino Resort in Lake Charles. L'Auberge says lawn chairs are welcome, and the concert is open to all ages. Hotel guests also get free entry.

That sounds like a pretty dang good Sunday Funday to me. Pool. Cold drinks. Live music. And a few thousand people suddenly realizing the music they listened to growing up is now considered nostalgia.
