SWLA Author To Host Book Release on Friday In Westlake

A local Southwest Louisiana author will be releasing his brand new book on Friday evening in Westlake. R.S. Blackburn will be officially releasing his brand new book "Mud Road" on Friday evening in Westlake.

ABOUT R.S. Blackburn: Blackburn has worked for the better part of his life along the gulf coast, Caribbean, and New England coasts. He currently lives in Southwest Louisiana. His love for the ocean, surf, sailing, and outdoors is abundant and visible in his writing.

MUD ROAD is a historical fiction novel that has taken Blackburn over three and a half years to complete. There is so much neat information throughout the book. If you're a history nut, you HAVE to check this book out. It features real history from the 1500s to the present time. The book is a story of redemption and many characters are inspired by real people and Blackburn's experiences.

This book will be available on Amazon on Friday, June 30th. A portion of the book sales will go to homeless and distressed vets according to Blackburn.

Blackburn will be holding a book release and book signing completely OPEN TO THE PUBLIC on Friday at the American Legion in Westlake.
