Garden Lovers Unite: SWLA Garden Expo Blooms in Lake Charles!
Lake Charles, Louisiana - 2025 SWLA Garden Conference & Expo, get ready for a weekend full of laughter, plants, and gardening fun!
This backyard party isn't your typical one. The entry fee is an opportunity to support the SW LA Master Gardener Program. Thus, you're doing a good deed while enjoying yourself while admiring all the plants and garden equipment. That's what we like to call a win-win!
Located at the intersection of Gauthier Road and 7001 Gulf Highway, the Burton Complex is the place to be.
There is space for everyone selling garden products, whether they are from enterprises or local clubs. Imagine an area where more than 60 vendors provide everything from the finest vegetables and flowers to the most stylish yard decorations. For garden enthusiasts, it's similar to a treasure hunt!
Local garden clubs showcase their flower arrangements during the Flower Show, so don't miss it. Like the fashion week of flowers, it's open to the public during the Expo and judged by experts.
Do you have a sad-looking plant? Visit the Plant Health Clinic with it. In order to prevent the transmission of pathogens, make sure your sick plant is bagged before our Master Gardeners take on the role of plant physicians.
Talks about everything green, from selecting the best plants to preventing those annoying weeds, will also be covered. The knowledge is as fresh as morning dew and is freely available.
So make sure to put the 2024 Garden Conference & Expo on your calendars, get your gardening gloves on, and go. You will never have more fun with dirt under your fingernails!
The Burton Complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana, will host this spectacular event on Friday and Saturday, March 28th and 29th. You can join in the fun if you have $3 (cash only at the door) and a passion for gardening and springtime. Children under 12 enter free of charge because they presumably already believe it to be a huge outdoor playground.
