Louisiana - We can all remember that ONE field trip we took during our elementary or High School days that was epic, and we'll never forget it. We asked our listeners to fill in the blank: “If you grew up in SWLA, you definitely went to _____ for a field trip.” And wow… the answers came flooding in.

I went to Rosepine, and my favorite field trip ever was to the Vermilionville Historic Village. We also took trips to the corn maze at CM Farms in Dry Creek, to Skate City, the bowling alley, and many more.
When asking your favorite places to go, the answers are going to be wild and diverse because not everyone went to school at the same time. For instance, a lot of folks went to Astroworld, but I was only 5 years old when they closed the doors. Some of the trips people took seem pretty awesome...

There were a few places that almost everyone seemed to visit. One of the most popular answers was Avery Island, where students toured the famous Tabasco factory. Many people said they went more than once! Another big one was NASA in Houston, where kids learned all about space. And of course, many folks remember trips to Astroworld, the old theme park in Houston that many still miss today. Closer to home, the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge was a classic trip for many fifth graders.
