KNGT | Lake Charles, LA —  Alright y’all… here we go. Another Cajun Weekend Weather Report, and this one right here… it’s got a little attitude to it. I’m pulling this straight from The Weather Channel so you know it’s legit… but I’m gonna break it down the way we actually live it.

Weekend Weather in Southwest Louisiana

Friday
We’re looking at about 76 for the high, low around 66, and yeah… showers. Not kinda rain. Not maybe rain. I’m talking a solid chance it’s gonna be wet most of the day. This is one of them days where you don’t even fight it. You just accept it. Got plans? Cool. Just make sure they under a roof. And since it ain’t blazing hot… you can probably ease up on the ice situation. But still… keep a little in the cooler. You never know.

Saturday
Saturday… now we turn it up just a little. High around 80, and scattered thunderstorms. This is that classic SWLA weather right here. You’ll get sunshine… then boom… storm rolls through… then sunshine again like nothing happened. You can still do your thing though. Cookout? Go ahead. Fishing? Why not. Just keep one eye on the sky… and don’t leave anything outside you don’t wanna get soaked.

Sunday
Now Sunday… this one’s sneaky. High around 84, and storms look like they show up more in the afternoon. So here’s the move… get your stuff done early. Morning time might be your best shot to be outside. By the afternoon… yeah… you might be running for cover again. And with that heat creeping back up… yeah… go ahead and grab that extra bag of ice. You’re back in that sticky, sweaty Louisiana weather.

So here’s the bottom line this weekend…

Friday… wet.
Saturday… on and off.
Sunday… play it early before the storms roll in.

But look… this is Louisiana. We don’t cancel plans… we just adjust. Keep a towel nearby, keep something cold in your hand, and roll with it. That’s your Cajun Weekend Weather Report. We ain’t just telling you what’s coming… we telling you how to live in it.
