There’s an unwritten rule for garage sales – more is better. More people = more money, right? So just imagine what happens when you turn the Lake Charles Civic Center into your own personal garage sale superstore! That’s exactly what we’re planning to do on Friday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 1.

Arts & Crabs Fest, Southwest Louisiana’s newest and fastest growing seafood festival, will take over the second and third floors of the Lake Charles Civic Center on Saturday, August 20th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature the best of the Imperial Calcasieu experience with spotlights on Lake Area restaurants, national and regional music, and local art.

We promised you more Damon Troy and Final Five for the Marshland Festival. Well, here ya go!

Damon Troy and Final Five set the house on fire Friday night with their blistering set at the Marshland Festival, and we brought our cameras to make sure we didn’t miss a beat. When he ripped into “Party Down,” it made our hair stand up. If it don’t give you the chills, see a doctor, baby.

Our friends from Hip Boot Joe got things all stirred up at night one of the Marshland Festival Friday night, proving you don't have to headline to blow the roof off the house, and they were kind enough to let us invade the stage with them!

The 2011 Marshland Festival is this Friday night & all day Saturday inside the Lake Charles Civic Center. Food, dancing and awesome entertainment are the highlights you can expect this weekend.
