Fellow stars, friends and family turned out to celebrate the life of singer Mindy McCready at a memorial service in Nashville on Wednesday (March 6). McCready died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound last month at the age of 37.

Country star Mindy McCready was laid to rest during a service in her hometown of Fort Myers, Fla. on Tuesday (Feb. 26), nine days after the troubled singer took her own life with a single gunshot wound to the head.

Former 'Lois & Clark' star Dean Cain has spoken out about the recent death of his former fiancee Mindy McCready, saying he is "not surprised" by her suicide on Sunday (Feb. 17).

During one of Mindy McCready's final conversations, the singer describes finding her dying boyfriend, David Wilson, and the miserable and frantic two hours that followed. The phone call was reportedly taped one day before she died and made available on Monday night.

One day before Mindy McCready was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, the singer sent a private investigator she had been working with a cryptic message. It was a single frame from a video they had been working on together of McCready singing a song called 'I'll See You Yesterday.'

If we're going to be honest about the passing of Mindy McCready this week at age 37, we have to admit one thing -- by the end of her life, she was far more famous for her tragedy than for her music.  Let's take a moment away from the media freak show and remember her for the reason we all started to like her -- her music.
