Everyone in Southwest Louisiana knows about the Buddy Russ bus. Whether you have taken a ride on it, taken a tour of it, or seen it on a parade route or out and about in town.

The Buddy Russ Bus is an old school bus created by our buddy Eric Trahan, the owner of Luxury Limo/Llimodaddy.com here in Lake Charles. The bus was named after Your Buddy Russ Conrad who did afternoons on Gator 99.5 FM in Lake Charles.

Russ loved this bus and took it anywhere and everywhere he went. Russ passed away in March of this year from bone cancer. Still, Eric, Scotty Schadler, and the Gator 99.5 staff are keeping his memory alive by taking it to benefits, fundraisers, and businesses to support our community.

We were contacted by our friends from Pumpelly's Tire located at 3406 Ryan Street in Lake Charles and they told us they had got some new lifts that could raise the Buddy Russ Bus. We didn't believe them and said we were going to come by and y'all are going to have to prove it to us.

Boy, they prove it for sure. The lifts are called the Rotary Mobile Column Lift powered by Redfire. They brought all four of the lifts out and within two minutes, the Buddy Russ Bus took flight! Yep, they had the bus up in the air quickly. Then we had the bright idea to park the Gator 99.5 truck underneath it to prove the safety of the lifts. Check out this picture.

We found out this lift can raise your large vehicle up to 75,200 pounds, Wow! So if you have a heavy-duty truck, bucket truck, Motorhome, RV, or large bus, Pumpelly's can now put it up on this lift and work on it for you. Now you know where to go when you need to work on your heavy-duty truck, bucket truck, Motorhome, RV, or large bus.

Thanks to Dale Mann, Glenn Pumpelly, and Ron at Pumpelly's for letting us do this. It was cool.
