The Game of Thrones “Starbucks” Scene

We all know movies and tv shows have bloopers. I remember watching TV Bloopers as a kid. Plenty of movies from our past have them, most of the time they get edited out, but sometimes they sneak on by the editors.

:::::WARNING THIS DOESN'T CONTAIN SPOILERS, BUT I AM COVERING MY BUTT JUST IN CASE:::::

In the first part of the 4th episode of the final season, everyone is sitting together and enjoying some fellowship. As the scene pans over to the grand table, although dark, a white cup, complete with zarf is sitting next to the giant plates of food and chalices. Wait, what? Yep, instantly recognized as a Starbucks cup, fans went absolutely crazy. GOT went 7 seasons with no crazy obvious mistakes, minus the out of context "rock and roll" song we heard a few seasons back.

According to one of Executive Producesr Bernie Caulfield during a phone interview with WNYC,

I can't believe our onset prop people and set decorators are on 1000%, I guess they missed it. WE'RE SORRY!

She went on to play the joke off as she discussed "dealing" with the fallout of the accident but was able to crack a joke about it.
