‘The Great Lake Charles Coke Float’ Has Begun — Find Out the Rules [VIDEO]
You may have been at out our beach party at North Beach along I-10 recently, where we gave out a ton of Coca-Cola to everyone who was on the beach. But did you know there was a reason we were doing all that?
We needed the empty two-liter bottles, because we are attempting something that (as far as we know) has never been tried in Lake Charles before. We're splitting our DJs into two teams, giving them each 30 empty two-liter bottles, and tasking them with building a craft that will float. Then, that craft has to hold a DJ long enough to race.
And if you guess which team will win, you could take home a set of Schlitterbahn tickets and a one-night stay at the Moody Gardens Hotel in Galveston, Texas!
The video above tells you all the rules our DJs have to follow:
- Each team has 30 bottles
- They can decorate the craft, but they cannot do anything that will lighten the load.
- They can only use two types of bonding materials (tape, glue, rope, etc.)
- It has to hold one DJ.
As David Letterman once asked -- "Will it float?" If it does, we're going to go to Sam Houston Jones State Park and have ourselves a little race on Saturday, Sept. 12 -- and you're welcome to come!
In the meantime, check out some of the ways we emptied out these two-liter bottles!
