The Molly Ringwalds Set To Rock Cowboy Block Party
[KNGT-FM] - Football season is in full swing, which means tailgating and block party concerts are as well. The second installment of the Cowboy Block Party is coming your way this Friday night, September 12th, with The Molly Ringwalds.
The Mollys have never played one of the Cowboy Block Parties, and when we talked to them, they were super excited to be playing this year. One of the biggest party bands in the nation will be right here in Southwest Louisiana, and the concert is free.
Unlike the first block party with Wayne Toups inside the Legacy Center, this Friday's party will be located at the Grove by the Alumni Center on the corner of Common and McNeese Streets in Lake Charles.

The Mollys are a premier 80s cover band and dress the part with costumes from recognizable figures of the decade. Plus, they will be playing all of your favorite 80s hits that you know and love.
According to the website, here is a description of their show.
They dazzle and engage their audiences with energy and passion, while taking them on a musical journey filled with all the hits that transcended the 80s and defined a generation.
The Molly Ringwalds' show is loaded with the visual enormity and glam that encompassed the essence of the decade’s music scene.
Music videos of the iconic songs are the backdrop to a stage that comes to life with a captivating light show and a movable set that draws every single person into the moment.
Mark your calendars for this Friday night, September 12, 2025, for The Molly Ringwalds. The concert is free and open to the public and all ages. You are allowed to bring your lawn chairs, ice chests, and your drinks. Don't miss the show.
