President Trump will be visiting for his third time to the Lake Area, but we all remember his last visit with I-10 being shut down for a few hours during our commute home. This time, he is headed to the Lake Charles Civic Center, which means actual roads will be shut down.

The route he will take is not as easy as it was to speculate last time, shout out to KPLC for thinking he was actually going to take I-210. If he flies into Chennault, like they all have done, he will more than likely go 210 to I-10 then exit either at Lake Shore or Ryan Street to make his way to the Civic Center. This will mean that parts of the interstate will be closed for his trip to and from the Civic Center.

The rally is set to begin at 7:00pm, with doors opening around 5:30pm for people to begin to take their seats. This part in itself is going to cause congestion in the downtown Lake Charles area, so I would avoid it at all costs. As for the interstate and street closures? According to an article on KPLC, Sheriff Tony Mancuso told them that he didn't expect long closures for main roads that could cause someone to reroute their way around.

Let's hope so Uncle Tony, election day is Saturday.
